Error or Network messages appear when you send a text.
Press and hold power button.
Tap Airplane mode in order to turn it off if it is on.
Tap the all apps icon on the home screen.
Scroll to and tap My Account (Virgin Mobile) or Boost Zone (Boost).
Swipe left to open Device Diagnostics.
Look for Network
If the device is Flagged/Failed: Update the PRL.
(a). Tap Network
(b). Tap Network PRL
(c). After the update is finished, press OK.
Press and hold the power key until the phone turns off.
Wait for the phone to automatically turn back on.
You may be experiencing error messages, unexpected restarts, slow performance, or the inability to install or update applications.
Press and hold the power key until the phone turns off completely. The phone will turn on automatically.
From the home screen, tap the all apps icon.
Scroll to and tap boost zone (For boost mobile carriers) or my account (For Virgin mobile carriers).
Swipe to the left to open device diagnostics.
Tap power usage
Tap battery usage
Tap the application you would like to close or uninstall.
To close an application: Tap “Force Stop”
To uninstall an application: Tap “Stop
Has trouble with activating/does not complete hand free activation.
- Verify airplane mode is turned off
(If airplane mode is ON displays tap airplane mode to turn it OFF)
- Make sure coverage is available at your current location
(If ZTE Tempo has low signal, access the coverage map on virgin mobile and boost mobile.)
- Try performing a soft reset
(Press and hold the power key until the phone turns off)
- Try resetting your connection
(a).Tap the phone icon
(b).Tap keypad icon, if needed
(c).Dial ##72786#
(d).Tap “yes”
Phone will restart
After the phone turns back on, it will start hands free activation
After activation completed, phone will be ready to use
Apps do not open, frequently crash, are unresponsive, or display error messages.
Hold down the power button until the phone turns off.
The phone will automatically turn back on.
On the home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
Scroll and tap settings.
Scroll and tap apps.
Select an app
Tap Storage
Tap Clear Data
Disclaimer: doing this will erase all user information, high scores, credit card information, and other miscellaneous items not originally downloaded.
Find and tap the all apps icon on the home screen.
Select an app.
Tap storage.
Tap Clear Data.
A complete uninstall will erase all user data from the device. However, this will ensure you have the most up to date software.
