If your ZTE Blade X Max does not turn on after hard pressing the power button, these may be the errors and their solutions:

If your device fails to power on and doesn’t vibrate or flash when connected to the charger, this may be due to a damaged or incompatible charger.

To make sure the device is being charged, plug in the charger. Within 2 or 3 seconds you should feel a vibration and a white battery symbol will appear on the screen when the device is powered off. If this does not happen, then your charging cable does not work.

To ensure your charging port is not damaged, try charging the device with a new Type-C USB charger.

If your device fails to power on and the screen still flashes, your phone might have a broken LCD (liquid crystal display), which could make it seem like your device isn’t powering on.

A broken LCD can be noticed in a few different ways. An LCD can be damaged if the device is struck with force (dropped, stepped on, etc.) and usually the damage can be seen through the screen as well. If you noticed lines or dark spots on your screen, or if you have cracked your screen before, then your phone may not turn on due to a damaged LCD.

To repair this, you will have to remove your LCD/Screen and replace them. You can get more step by step instruction in our LCD/Screen replacement guide.

If your device fails to power on and does not charge, even with a replacement Type-C USB, you may have a faulty battery. To fix this, you will need to replace it

You can access the battery replacement guide for help on the removal of your battery.

Be advised that removing the battery on this device voids the warranty.

If your ZTE Blade X Max randomly restarts while in use, the following may be the causes and their solutions:

If your phone restarts without command, it may be due to low quality apps disrupting your phone’s primary functions.

Poor quality apps may cause issues within your device’s operating system which affects the performance and overall life of your device. You may have to uninstall unnecessary apps. It is important to only download reliable applications, especially the application runs phone calls or text messaging. Aside from these, there are also apps that run in the background of your device that you may not be aware of.

In general:

  • Uninstall unnecessary apps, especially those that control sound, wallpapers, ringtones, and GPS.Ensure your apps are updated to the latest version. You may do so through the Play Store by selecting “Menu” >”Settings”>”My Apps”Uninstall apps that run in the background by going to “Settings”>”More”>”Applications”>”Running”

If you have no third party apps downloaded on your phone, you may have accidentally deleted some apps that are necessary for your device to run properly. Disabling these apps can cause your phone to either restart or run slowly. To check for this, go to “Settings”>”Applications” and find any apps that are “Turned Off” or “Disable” and enable the necessary applications.

If your ZTE Blade X Max does not unlock when you press your finger to the back button of the device, the following may be the causes and their solutions:

If your fingerprint scanner is not functioning properly, you may simply have forgotten to save your fingerprint. Make sure that your fingerprint has been saved on to the device by navigating to “Settings”>”General”>”Fingerprints & Security”>”Fingerprints” and then enter your pin to scan your fingerprint if there is not one registered already.

If your fingerprint reader does not scan and you have your fingerprint saved, this issue can also be caused by dirt and grime building on the phone. Using a wipe thoroughly clean and the fingerprint scanner.

If the fingerprint scanner is still unresponsive, the issue may be that it is malfunctioning. You have the option of installing a new button on the back of the phone. You can find instructions on how to do so in our fingerprint scanner replacement guide.

If your ZTE Blade X Max does not charge in a timely manner, the following may be the causes and their solutions:

This device’s battery life is known to decrease over time. If your device dies sooner than it should or if you must have the device charging constantly in order to use it, your device may be in need of a battery replacement.

If your ZTE Blade X Max does not function smoothly, the following may be the causes and their solutions:

You may have noticed that you can’t save anything to your device, or that it runs slowly when you run apps that require data. This is because devices depend on the amount of storage space available in order to update software. If you take up too much of this space, the operating system will run more slowly.

In order to free up storage space access “Settings”>”Storage”>”Free Up Space” and delete any files that may be taking up space but are unnecessary. You can back up these files using the Google apps that come preinstalled on the device before deleting.

If your device runs slowly when you open a particular app, or after the installation of a new app, it may mean your OS does not support this application. Poor quality apps can cause issues within your device’s operating system, which affects the performance and overall life of your device. You may have to uninstall unnecessary apps. It is important to only download reliable applications, especially for phone calls or text messaging. Aside from these, there are also apps that run in the background of your device that you may not be aware of.

If your ZTE Blade X Max does not connect or often disconnects to Bluetooth, the following may be the causes and their solutions:

If your ZTE Blade is failing to Bluetooth connect to another device, you may simply have an issue in settings. Make sure Bluetooth is on. You can do so by going to “Settings”>”Connection Preferences”>”Bluetooth.” If it is on, check your Bluetooth settings for the “Turn Off When Idle” option. If it is enabled, select “disable”.

If you are still experiencing issues, you can clear the Bluetooth cache by navigating to “Settings”>”Application Manager”>”Display System Apps”>”Bluetooth”>”Storage”>”Clear Cache”. After clearing the cache, restart the device and test out Bluetooth once again.
