What you need
Step 1

- Turn the device over with its display down.

- Remove the battery cover, pressing down on the tabs and sliding.

- Unscrew the two (2) #00, 10 mm screws located below the mic on the back cover.

- Carefully pry up the top end of the back cover using one finger.

- Remove the back plate by using a plastic removal tool to pry the back cover up around the edges.

- Unscrew the circuit board screw.
- This screw is located down near the bottom of the device on the blue circuit board. It is just to the right of the USB port.

- Use a plastic removal tool to disconnect the blue circuit board from the green circuit board underneath.

- Turn the circuit board on its side to reveal the USB soldering points.

- De-solder the USB port from its four soldering points.
- Be careful not to damage the wire connected to the USB port during de-soldering.

- Place the new USB port in the same spot on the board, and re-solder at each of the four points.
- Ensure you re-solder the wire into the same connection you removed it from during desoldering

- Rotate the circuit board back to its initial position, with the port on the underside of the board.

- Replace the circuit board screw.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
