What you need

              USB Port               
  • Turn the device over with its display down.

  • Remove the battery cover, pressing down on the tabs and sliding.

  • Unscrew the two (2) #00, 10 mm screws located below the mic on the back cover.

  • Carefully pry up the top end of the back cover using one finger.

  • Remove the back plate by using a plastic removal tool to pry the back cover up around the edges.

Step 6

  • Unscrew the circuit board screw.
  • This screw is located down near the bottom of the device on the blue circuit board. It is just to the right of the USB port.

  • Use a plastic removal tool to disconnect the blue circuit board from the green circuit board underneath.

  • Turn the circuit board on its side to reveal the USB soldering points.

Step 9

  • De-solder the USB port from its four soldering points.
  • Be careful not to damage the wire connected to the USB port during de-soldering.

Step 10

  • Place the new USB port in the same spot on the board, and re-solder at each of the four points.
  • Ensure you re-solder the wire into the same connection you removed it from during desoldering

Step 11

  • Rotate the circuit board back to its initial position, with the port on the underside of the board.

  • Replace the circuit board screw.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

the third screw is on the outside of the case, the same place
