Introduction
Before using this guide, ensure the problem is the stick of flint. Look carefully at the flint and wheel. If the flint is not visible or is not able to touch the wheel, then this guide is for you. If the wheel is clearly damaged or no longer rotating, then there is likely another problem.
Step #2 will require you to unscrew the bottom screw holding the spring in. Do this step carefully so the spring does not go flying, as this component is necessary for the lighter to work.

- Open the lid of the lighter.
- Remove the lighter from its case.

- Loosen the screw with a screwdriver and remove it from the lighter.

- Carefully remove the spring so that it does not fly out.
- Tip the lighter to remove any flint, if there is any.
