What you need

Step 1

              Bottom Cover               
  • Power off the SoundBank Z3.
  • Turn over the device.
  • Peel the silicone feet up to remove.
  • No extra adhesive is needed to reapply the feet as long as the sticky side is not touched.

  • Remove all eight of the 11 mm Phillips screws from the bottom of the device.

  • Remove the bottom panel speaker using an iFixit opening tool.

              Motherboard Cover               
  • Remove the four 4.5 mm silver Phillips screws that secure the plastic panel covering the motherboard.
  • Remove the plastic panel.

Step 5

              Speaker Grill               
  • Remove the three silver Phillips screws from the plastic ring that holds the speaker in place.
  • Be careful not to rip out the speaker while taking out the screws
  • The same steps can be done on the other side of the speaker

  • First, remove the speaker from the motherboard, then remove the ring that held the speaker in place.

  • With the plastic ring removed, the speaker should slide out easily.
  • Be careful not remove other components in the speaker
  • This will expose the speaker grill

  • Now that the speaker has been removed, the plastic grill should be visible.
  • With a little bit of force they can be pushed out.
