The Dryer does not turn on when attempting to use it.
Make sure that the power is “ON” and the device is plugged in to the correct power source mentioned in the instruction manual provided with the Dryer.
If the device is “ON” but the Dryer does not start when you put your hands under it, then there may be something obstructing the Sensor Lens. Check the Sensor Lens and clean any dirt or foreign material off of it. In case the Sensor Lens is scratched or damaged then replace it.
If the device does not start and the Sensor Lens is in good condition, then the Circuit Board or the Sensor Board might be faulty. Make sure to unplug the device before taking a look at the Circuit Board inside of it. In case there are loose components or some are soldered incorrectly, depending on which component is faulty, replace the Circuit Board or the Sensor Board.
The Dryer is louder than expected, or makes a rattling noise.
When the Dryer makes loud rattling noises, the device might not be properly and tightly fastened on the wall. Make sure to fasten the screws at the base of the device while mounting it to the wall, making sure to follow these instructions provided with the Dryer.
If the Dryer is making loud noises and it is fastened correctly to the wall, then the motor might be damaged, causing the fans to rattle too much. In this case the motor will need to be replaced.
The Dryer functions but the air output has decreased out or the air is too hot.
If the air output decreases or becomes too hot, the filter may be obstructed. You will need to either clean the filter or replace it if it is worn out or damaged. Filter life can be expected to be a couple years, depending on what kind of environment the Dryer is functioning in. A dirty filter should be vacuumed gently with a hose attachment to remove any surface debris that blocks the air intake.
If the Dryer air is too hot, the air intake may be obstructed. Make sure to unplug the device. Inspect for and remove any dust or foreign material blocking the air intake slot, using a vacuum and soft brush if needed.
The Dryer will not shut off when there are no hands presents anymore, or runs for sometime then does not restart .
If the Dryer does not stop blowing air when you move your hands away, that may be a sign that something is obstructing the Sensor Lens. Check the Sensor Lens for dirt or foreign material, and clean it with a soft cloth. If the lens is damaged or scratched, replace the Sensor Lens.
If the device starts without hands present and does not shut off, then the sensor is receiving a signal from a reflective surface. Make sure to mount the Dryer on the wall at a minimum of 18” above any reflective surface as instructed in the device manual. In the case where the Dryer is at the correct height, and you have checked the sensor lens (see above), the Sensor Board must be faulty, replace the Sensor Board.
