              Remove the Backplate               
  • Locate the four corners of the backplate.

  • Pry off the backplate by inserting a spudger or plastic opening tool into each corner and popping them open.

              Remove the Battery               
  • Un-stick the battery from the motherboard assembly with the plastic opening tool.

Step 4

  • Desolder the battery wires from the motherboard.
  • The tweezers pictured point to the two solder joints.

  • Fully remove the battery from the device.

              Motherboard               
  • Locate each of the motherboard’s 4 mm screws.

              Unscrewing Everything               
  • Remove each of the four 4 mm screws from the motherboard pictured to the left.
  • Use a Phillips #00 precision screwdriver.

              Detach the Motherboard               
  • Use the spudger to pry the instrument array from its plastic housing.

  • Slowly slide the spudger underneath the adhesive tape to un-sitck it.
  • Be careful not to harm the array of wires leading to this tape.

Step 10

  • De-tatch the motherboard output wires from the screen using the tweezers.

              Front Screen               
  • Locate the front screen’s screws.

              Remove the Extra Screws               
  • There are two additional 4 mm screws holding the front screen.
  • Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws (pictured to the left).

  • Fully remove the front screen from its plastic cover.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Hi, have a Filemate tablet and the front is broke . So is the Front and Digitizer the same thing? Thank you Brenda L Glidewell
