Enable the mouse ‘Snap To’ feature in Microsoft Window XP and later versions to automatically have the mouse pointer focus on dialog box buttons. Enabling this feature automatically moves your mouse cursor to the default button on any dialog box that appears on Windows. That way, you don’t need to move your mouse cursor to the “Ok” button each time a dialog box appears. To enable this feature follow the steps below.

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Double-click the Mouse icon
  • In the Mouse Properties window, click the Pointer Options tab and check the “Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box” option.
  • See our mouse and snap definitions for further information and related links on these terms.
