The .NET Framework software needs to be installed on a computer before installing programs that were packaged using the .NET Framework. If you’ve downloaded a .msi file and cannot install the program or are getting a .NET Framework error, download the latest .NET Framework from Microsoft.

The latest .NET framework and all past .NET frameworks such as 1.1 (1.1.4322) can be downloaded from Microsoft’s .NET downloads.
