WinHex is a hexadecimal editor for the Windows operating system. It is used for forensics, data recovery, low-level data processing, and IT security. It allows the user to view files in hexadecimal format.

WinHex features

  • Native support for FAT12/16/32, exFAT, NTFS, Ext2/3/4, Next3, CDfs, and UDF file systems.
  • Native support for RAID systems and dynamic disks.
  • A RAM editor, allowing for access to both physical and virtual memory.
  • A data interpreter which understands over 20 data types.
  • Ability to repair partition tables and boot sectors.
