Short for Windows Display Driver Model, WDDM is sometimes called WDDVM and is a video driver architecture first introduced with Microsoft Windows Vista. WDDM is required for rendering the Windows DWM (Desktop Windows Manager) and device driver interface for Direct3D 10.
