Developed in 2004 and now owned by Fandango, Vudu is an online entertainment application that allows users to store a library of movies and television series. Users can purchase or rent movies and seasons of TV show, which can be accessed on any device by logging in with a username and password. Vudu also offers a selection of free movies supported by advertisements.
Vudu is available on the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, the PlayStation, and Xbox marketplaces, with other popular entertainment platforms. It can also be accessed using an Internet browser.
Because Walmart formerly owned Vudu, some Vudu services can be linked to an online Walmart account.
