The VCEG, also known as the Video Coding Experts Group or Visual Coding Experts Group, is an organization of computer scientists and image processing experts. They are responsible for defining and standardizing various ways to encode, decode, transmit, and display digital images and video. It is responsible for video standards, such as H.264, and image standards, such as JPEG.
