In the CMOS setup often under the AGP or Video section you may have Graphic Window WR Combin option, with the available options of Enable and Disable. Other setups may list this option as video cache mode for USWC (Uncacheable, Speculative Write-Combining) or UC (Uncacheable).

This setting enables the video card to buffer information moving between the processor and the video memory and send it as one write, instead of multiple small writes. If your video card supports this mode, Enable it or set the video caching to USWC otherwise this mode should be set to UC or Disabled.

This option is spelled “Graphic Window WR Combin” and not “Graphic Window WR Combine.”

All recent video card will support this mode. However, if you’re encountering video card crashes and this option is available in your CMOS (BIOS) setup you may also want to consider disabling this feature for testing purposes. Users can determine if the video card installed in the computer supports this mode by consulting the video card documentation.
