TechCrunch is an online publication covering new technologies, Internet companies, and technology startups. It was founded in June 2005 by Archimedes Ventures partners Michael Arrington and Keith Teare, and was acquired in 2010 by AOL.

Since 2011, TechCrunch has hosted an annual technology conference, TechCrunch Disrupt. It includes an event called Startup Battlefield where startup representatives pitch their ideas to venture capitalists. Past participants in the event have included the companies Dropbox and Trello.

TechCrunch operates Crunchbase, a searchable database of startups, investors, and events related to technology startups. It also holds an award ceremony, called the Crunchies, honoring notable startups in various categories, including Best New Startup, Best Overall Startup, and Best Mobile App.
