Smart home describes a category of electronic devices that automate and interconnect tasks in a house. Connected by a home Wi-Fi network, smart home devices can be linked together and controlled from a central source, such as a smartphone app, or a smart speaker.
Smart home devices can be products from the same company, which are joined together through proprietary means, or different products that connect universally through the same source.
