Roam may refer to any of the following:
An individual’s ability to move around in a wireless network environment without losing connectivity. Depending on the setup of the wireless network, a user may only be able to roam in designated zones.
With cell phones, roaming is when you use your cell phone out of your carriers service area. When roaming, the signal could change from a digital signal to an analog signal, usually resulting in reduced call quality.
