  1. The response time is the total elapsed time from when a request is made to the time it is completed.   2. When referring to an LCD, a response time is how many frames are displayed each second. Response time is important for users who are considering an LCD and plan on using that display for full motion video. An LCD with a slow response time can result in ghosting.
