In general, repeat refers to an action, event, or task that once completed, is performed again. For example, in Microsoft Word 2000 and above, the F4 key repeats the last action performed. If you highlighted text and changed its font and font color, and then highlight other text and press F4, the last changes are repeated on the new text.

Microsoft also refers to the redo feature as repeat in the Quick Access Toolbar.
