Also called red-eye effect, red-eye or redeye describes a picture of a person or animal who looks as if they have red eyes. Red-eye is caused when someone takes a picture with a flash camera and that flash is being reflected back to the camera. The image shows an example of a picture with red-eye, and another that’s had it removed using software.
