Real-time may refer to any of the following:
- Sometimes abbreviated as RT, real-time is a process or event that occurs immediately. For example, chat occurs in real-time, where messages are seen immediately after the user presses their Enter key. In comparison, e-mail does not happen in real-time since it could take someone hours, days, or weeks to make a response.
