Short for quality of service, QoS is an ability of a product to provide a certain service by the settings in the product. For example, a user could assign different levels of QoS on a network router, allowing certain users or network traffic to have more or less priority than other users. In other words, an administrator may set a higher priority on internal network traffic opposed to external traffic.
