Below are examples of some commonly broken rules.

  • Follow the same basic rules you would in your real life.
  • Treat others as you want them to treat you.
  • Do not type in all uppercase as it comes across as if you are YELLING.
  • Do not use mixed uppercase and lowercase when it is not needed.
  • Keep messages brief.
  • Use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Be polite and avoid offensive language.
  • Do not flame.
  • Be careful when using humor and sarcasm as it may be misinterpreted.
  • Do not SPAM (flood) a message board or chat room with the same message.
