Short for magneto-optical diskette, MO diskettes are similar to a standard floppy diskette, but slightly physically larger. MO diskettes are used in magneto-optical drives, have a capacity ranging from 100 MB to several gigabytes, and can be read from and written to several times.

Today, these diskettes and drives are replaced by more modern technologies like the USB flash drive.
