Short for multi-color graphics array or memory controller gate array, MCGA is a graphics system built into computers manufactured during the 1980s. MCGA can displaying 80 x 25 text in monochrome, 40 x 25 text in 256 colors, or 320 x 200 pixel graphics in 256 colors. Today, MCGA is considered obsolete.
