Function found with most computers or software programs that repeats a key when it is held down for 2 seconds then released.

Keyboard repeat is commonly used to create a line by pressing the dash or underscore, as shown below.


In the above example, we pressed the underscore key to draw a line. With keyboard repeat rate increased, this can be done even faster. With newer word processor programs a user can also type three of the same dash, underscore, or equal sign and once enter is pressed a divider line is drawn.
