KEK may refer to any of the following:
- In World of Warcraft, a popular online game, “KEK” is the text displayed to Alliance players any time a Horde player says or yells “LOL.” Because “LOL” is said often, “KEK” has become a widely used and understood term among World of Warcraft players across factions.
In the Twitch community, the letter “W” is used to convey an exaggerated facial expression. At some point, a “W” was added to “KEK” to form “KEKW,” a way to express intense laughter.
- Starting around 2016, Kek also refers to The Cult of Kek, a fictitious religion that worships Pepe the Frog from Kekistan. The term may be used as a meme to help keep the “normies” (those who follow the mainstream) out of the loop.
The term “Kek” is also Korean for “Lol” or “Hehe.”
