A granularity may refer to any of the following:

  1. Granularity is a term used to describe how clear an image is displayed. For example, with a bitmapped image the smaller the dots the better granularity or clarity of the image will be.

  2. If a search does not contain enough requirements or keywords, it might be required that the search be more granular. To make a search more granular, add additional keywords or perform an advanced search.
