Gnumeric is a spreadsheet program for Unix and Unix-like operating systems, such as Linux.
Gnumeric is free software, distributed under the GNU General Public License. It can import and export spreadsheet data to and from multiple formats, including CSV, Microsoft Excel, HTML, OpenDocument, Quattro Pro, and LaTex.
The native Gnumeric file format is XML compressed with gzip. Its default file name extension is .gnu or .gnumeric.
Gnumeric is fully-functioned, containing all the functionality of Microsoft Excel and some unique functionality of its own. It is highly accurate, suited for scientific statistical analysis.
Gnumeric is also available on Android devices, as part of the Ubuntu “noroot” package.
