As part of their product service, Apple provides free access to customer support staff, called “geniuses.” These staff members answer questions, and help customers resolve software and hardware issues with their Apple devices. The Genius Bar is the name of their technical support station, first implemented at select Apple store locations in May 2001.

Today, Genius Bars are located in most Apple stores with two different wait lists: one for mobile devices and one for Macs of all sorts.
