The cookies.txt file is the file that is used to store a user’s cookies in certain web browsers, notably Netscape and older versions of Firefox. This file is often in the user profile for the application.
Other browsers may use different methods for storing cookies. For example, Internet Explorer stores each cookie in a folder named “Cookies” and newer versions of Firefox (3 and above) store them in a file named “cookies.sqlite”.
