Click fraud describes any fraudulent click done on an advertiser’s link that generates revenue for the publisher but is not done by someone interested in the advertisement. For example, a common click fraud technique is a person or computer program that clicks or visits multiple advertisements shown on a web page only to generate revenue. Today, most ad networks can detect click fraud and prevent the publisher from making money on fraudulent or mistake clicks.
